     Ethan began his theatrical and dance training at the Musical Theater Center and Act Two in Rockville, MD. He continued his training at Northwood High School, CityDance at Strathmore, and the Maryland Youth Ballet until moving to Tampa, FL to attend the University of South Florida. While at USF, he performed in the works of Alonzo King, Maurice Causey, Kara Davis, Bliss Kohlyer, Jeanne Travers, Paula Nuñez, Michael Foley and Andrew Carroll. He was able to, through USF, participate and perform in the Beijing Normal University International Creative Dance Seminar in Beijing, China and work with European choreographers such as Maurice Causey, Nathalie Pubellier, Kévin Quinaou, Wanjiru Kamuyu, Christine Gérard, and Nadine Beaulieu during the USF Dance in Paris Semester Program. He received a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Dance Performance and Choreography with a modern dance concentration in the spring of 2017.

     Since graduation, he has performed as a company member of Collective Soles Dance Company and presented his own choreography in Florida, Maryland, and Michigan. He is currently a company member with the Tampa City Ballet under the direction of Paula Nuñez. Most recently, Ethan worked with the Diavolo Dance Theatre and VetArtSpan in a production aiming to heal veterans and societal views on veterans through movement and with Tampa City Ballet in a collaborative performance of Pulcinella with the Florida Orchestra.

Education

University of South Florida | Dance BFA, Mathematics Minor

         Ethan graduated from the University of South Florida's College of the Arts and Honors College in 2017 with a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography and a mathematics minor. At USF, he had the pleasure of studying modern technique with Andee Scott, Bliss Kohlmyer, Michael Foley, John Parks and Jeanne Travers and ballet technique with Osmany Montano,  Andrew Carroll, Paula Nuñez, and Merry-Lynn Morris. He is extremely grateful to USF for giving him the opportunity to take master classes with Alonzo King, Jennifer Archibald, Susan Douglass Roberts, Kara Davis, Maurice Causey, Donna Mejia, Yaniv Abraham, Gierre Godley and Tong Wang and Cho Yi during the 2015 Beijing Normal University International Creative Dance Seminar in Beijijng, China.

        While at USF, he participated in the inaugural Dance in Paris Semester Program with 14 other spectacular dancers. He studied ballet technique from Kévin Quinaou, Jenny Sandler and Ghislain de Compreignac and modern technique from Wanjiru Kamuyu, Nathalie Pubelier, Clint Lutes, and Julien Desplantez. He participated in exclusive choreographic workshops from Christine Gérard, Maurice Causey, Nathalie Pubelier, Nadine Beaulieu, and Myriam Gourfink.

 

Northwood High School | Academy of Musical Theater

        Under the direction of Chris Goodrich and Danika Wiggins, he performed in The Wiz (Tinman), Footloose (Willard), and You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown (Charlie Brown). With the Northwood Dance Company, directed by Holly Jones, he had the opportunity to perform at Goucher College, Kings Dominion, and the University of Maryland.
